"What an absolute gem of a store and owner! Her focus are enchanting tropical themed canvases to stock and an enormous amount of threads versus "extras" that are self-promoting but are not focusing on the art of needlepoint. She spent over 2 hours with me both on purchasing a new canvas that needed complicated thread choices, as well as fine-tuning a current canvas I'm working on where (with her help), I was able to make some thread changes to enrich the design. She is a Master Needlepointer and for those who live in the Honolulu area, they are so very lucky to have her as their local store. However, for tourists who wish to learn needlepoint, or are more experienced in needlepoint: run do not walk to this store! (Easy parking in the back)."

"I am brand new to needlepoint. Mrs. Gussie spent over 45 minutes helping me get ready for my first project. A couple of days later I went back and she helped me again to get more things for my project. She is very knowledgeable, incredibly kind and helpful. What a wonderful store. I highly recommend shopping there."

"What a great find in Oahu. Went in and was warmly greeted by Gussie. Loved the large variety of threads they had. Cam out after 2 hours with many threads plus a new canvas in which she picked threads for me. Very happy with my purchases and highly recommend for all needlepointers. They also have a large selection of DMC for embroiderers too."

"I was in town visiting and was delighted to visit this fabulous little shop. The owner was kind and shared where to find the Hawaii specific canvases. She was lovely to speak to and I really enjoyed the selection she has. There is a vast selection of fibers as well. I hope to visit again in the future!!"

"Absolutely recommend a visit to Needlepoint etc. A HUGE selection of fibers and accessories. I found several canvas options to commemorate my trip to Oahu. Hawaiian quilt patterns, Hawaiian florals, and several other options. I’m new to Needlepoint and the owner was so patient and helpful with my questions. Take the number 2 bus from Waikiki if you don’t have a car- totally worth it!"
